First of all, let me say that this is a really impressive piece. I would never have thought to do a landscape from this perspective but it really works. I especially love the crisp look of the water and the texture of the path. It just looks and feels so real. The shadows of the trees across the path really draw your eye into the painting. The textured highlights across the grass really give the illusion of sunlight dappling the tips of blades of grass. In general, the colors are very lifelike and atmospheric.

The one criticism that I have is that the trees that line the path are a little bit too crisp and detailed. Its a little overwhelming to the eye and distracts from the beautiful lines and composition of the background and the painting as a whole. While the trees in the foreground are adequately detailed, I would like to see a little more atmospheric perspective as the trees regress into the background. This could be accomplished by lessening the contrast of lights and darks on the tree trunks, and simplifying the detail in the branches and leaves in the far away trees. I believe you did this a bit already, but the effect could be intensified to add even more depth to the painting's middle ground and help the viewer focus on the entire composition.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit of that golden sunshine that brings such warmth to the grassy field perhaps dappled across some of the highlights on the trees to warm them up a bit and add a bit of ambiance. But that is a minor detail in an otherwise fantastic piece.
