Oil on 18"X 24" canvas
This is a very well done piece of art! The trees and snows are amazing! The water is awesome with the reflection from the tree but the water fall looks just a little bit off. I mean that it seems like there are to many straight lines which kinda form a pattern. The deer is awesome but it doesn't seem to fit right in. Maybe its the shadows or you could add hoof marks in the snow. The background where you kind of fade it to brown i think should be a a bit lighter or with some more green on the top. Overall Absolutely amazing but the deer could be done just a little bit better. I am amazed at your talent and i wish i could do something like this.
The Artist thought this was FAIR
7 out of 7 deviants thought this was fair.
This is awesome, beautiful sow and dirt, and the trees and buck, I love it Don, keep them coming!!
I love this one so much
stunned and speechless here this is my month
You are featured in my journal!
Cool. I love your paintings
This is so nice! You are so talented!
Don, this landscape is working quite well, trees and snow are nearly perfect, you got a nice cold feel to this with the blues of the water, I like , nice job!
Thanks John! I'm pleased you like it!
A deer!!! How exciting!! A quiet moment with one of nature's majestic creatures in a still winter forest. Standing on the opposite shore, I can hear the rushing waters of the river and the crisp sounds of the chilled morning. The exhilaration of meeting a regal deer in this frozen instant greets me across the canvas. Bravo!! I'm really proud of you, and I think you have brushed a beautiful rendition of nature's finest once again. Cheers!
Thanks Brenda! It thrills me when I make you proud! I heard you cut your hair! I'm sad.
Nice! Makes me miss Massachusetts. This doesn't happen in Florida.
Thanks Donna! Hope I didn't make you too homesick>
This is quite beautiful, Don
The texture you accomplished with the left side ground is just remarkable- well, it's all wonderful- but there's just something really special about that left side. lol I'm weird.
Nice, but... I want you to zoom me in a lot closer! I want to see the mud on the banks where the thawing snow is dripping into the river. What's really happening in that ice cold water?
I'll gtve that some thought, Jimbo. See if I can pull that off. Thanks for looking!
great work !!
Beautiful work as always! You're really a great painter!
Very nice work! The deer appears elongated and out of scale to its surroundings. Just an observation.
Thanks Isaac! You should have seen that deer before I attempted to fix it. I'll keep practicing!
